Round 1/Day 1. Vivi’s Taco Stand. Tecate, Baja Norte. These are the first tacos to grace this blog; this is my first meal in Mexico.
Types of tacos: carne asada, chicharron, papas y chorizo (my favorite of the bunch), nopales (cactus!) con carne, and chile relleno.
Rating: Que Bueno! The cactus taco was da bomb, only bested by the potato and chorizo taco. Salsa options were lacking, though. Only salsa roja available. Is that normal? I have no idea. Still, for pure sentimental value - this being my first meal in Mexico - it was a great start.
Cost: 12.5 pesos per taco… Less than a dollar each!
BTW I know nothing about tacos other than what I think tastes good. And that’s ok!
